GEAR
Wrestling is inexpensive compared to many other youth sports and activities! The only essential gear is wrestling shoes and a headgear. Mouthguards are also required if an athlete has braces. New shoes run as low as $55, and headgear typically range from $20-50.
Eastern Loudoun encourages its wrestlers to obtain gear at Top of the Podium's wrestling store in Sterling. Not only is TOP a local business and 501(c)3 nonprofit, gear is discounted for local wrestlers and the staff know about wrestling. Other choices are Dick's Sporting Goods and online sites.

UNIFORMS
Our Gold, Red and Blue teams wear traditional wrestling singlets (one-piece uniform). You can borrow a singlet during the season by providing a deposit check (it will be held and then ripped up when the uniform is returned). You will also have the option of purchasing your own team singlet (you can choose color, style) which can even be customized. Wrestlers who don't want to wear singlets can also purchase a compression shirt/fight short uniform.
Our Middle School teams compete in fight shorts and compression shirts. The club will provide each middle schooler with a team compression shirt for their school. All wrestlers wear black TOP fight shorts which need to be purchased separately. These will be offered at a discount price of $35 and, of course, can be used by the athletes for multiple purposes (in addition to competition).
